Social Enquiry "YOUNG AND THE CHURCH"

There was a young and beautiful lady in the name o fTrifozia. This girl was living in the nearest township (36), with her biological parents. The family was Catholic believers and they strongly following and observes the Church’s teachings.

The girl was in a relationship with a boy from Roman Catholic Church and the boy promised not to have sex before marriage as the church teaches. She then found herself in a relationship with a boy of different denomination. With that lad, they really enjoyed spices of life belonging to married people. Unfortunately she got pregnant, and was forced to get married to the boy without following church ceremony.

This forced Trifozia to dump her childhood denomination and joined the presibetarian church. After fifteen years in desert of spiritual life, her twelve year old daughter was supposed to be enrolled to Likuni girls Sec School. By then, a letter from Parish Priest was fundamental principle if one wants to have a place at such a mission school and BUKU LA BANJA LANTHU. After several attempts to convince the Priest but to no avail.  Trifozia and her parents cried foul for the willful mistake they made. The church I saved since I was young betrayed me and now my daughter is at Mwenyekondo CDSS where there is less quality education compared to Likuni girls Sec School. Had I known, I would have made a right choice for my children’s future as well as mine. What a horrible mistake she made and now she’ paying the blame to the church, had she known , would have been strong to her faith and wait for what God planned for her in the future.

LESSON LEARNT FROM THE STORY

v  What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday and our thoughts of today builds the life of tomorrow and the future ahead of us

v  The church has a great role to play in our daily life and even to the life of our friends, relatives, and the future of the generation to come

v  The church always saves as the master tool for every individual and we should abide with the teachings of the church.

v  The church teaches us that if we are called to priesthood and   sisterhood then you have to be proud with your vocation and as well if you are called to family do what God wants us to do.
